Event Permitting
The Mooresville Arts & Events staff and this online application process will guide you through the planning and permitting requirements that need to be met to ensure a safe and successful event in the Town of Mooresville. There are 3 types of permits that the Town of Mooresville issues: Special Event Permit:
The Special Event Application process has two phases:
- Special Event Request/ Phase One - This is the first step of all Special Event Applications. This puts your event, date, street closure requests, location and high level details for review. Once it's been reviewed and tentatively confirmed, the Town of Mooresville will unlock Phase Two.
- Phase Two - This is the second step of the Application. Paired with the Special Event Request/ Phase One, these complete the Special Event Application. Once the date, time, street closure requests and location are confirmed and approved in the Special Event Request, you can continue to plan your event. Once your plans are finalized and before the 14 day deadline, you are required to finish filling out Phase Two of the application. Once Phase Two is submitted, the members of the Special Events Committee will review the application for final approval. Once Phase Two / Special Event Application is approved by the relevant members of the committee, the Town of Mooresville will issue the permit for the event to be held as well as the final invoice for the cost of the permit and any additional fees.
Our Event Planning Guide provides important information about the permitting process, the different types of permits and pricing matrices. The Event Planning Guide can be found HERE.
